Artistry. Beauty. Passion. Faith. Can it all fit in one package?

Edwina Findley makes it happen.

Hailed by critics as "Impressive", "Stellar", "Vibrant", and "A Marvel to Watch", this NYU-trained actress ventured to Europe this summer, where she appeared in George Lucas' upcoming movie Red Tails about the legendary Tuskegee Airmen. Her spring was spent in New Orleans, filming HBO's highly anticipated TV pilot Treme. Right now, Edwina is in rehearsals for Eclipsed, a new play set during the Liberian war, opening at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles this September. Not one to slow down, she has just been nominated for a Barrymore Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role in the play Gee's Bend, and her brimming commercial career has culminated in a national television spot for technology giant, Apple. This girl is on the move, yet still finds time to regularly conduct inspirational workshops for young people and adults through her organization, Abundant Life Creative Services.

A native of Washington, DC, Edwina began singing and dancing by age two, and after reciting an entire chapter of the Psalms by age three, her mother knew she was no ordinary child. Mrs. Findley became passionate about putting little Edwina in drama, piano, dance, choir, and any other activity she believed would nurture the special gifts and talents her daughter intrinsically possessed.

Edwina went on to graduate from the renowned Duke Ellington School of the Arts, joining the ranks of fellow alumni Denyce Graves and Dave Chapelle. From there she attendedNew York University, and her superior work was honored by the Outstanding Artist and Scholar award, Founder's Day Award, Dean's List, and induction into the prestigious Tisch Scholars Program. Learning from such cutting-edge actors as Jeffrey Wright, Sanaa Lathan, and Billy Crudup during her summer internships at Off-Broadway's Public Theatre, Edwina became well-positioned to begin a professional career of her own.

A multitalented twenty-something brimming with passion and potential, Edwina has played both rogues and royalty alike, notably spending her days as Omar's gun-toting side-kick onHBO's The Wire, then dashing to DC's Shakespeare Theater in time for her nightly performance as Welsh-speaking princess Lady Mortimer. Edwina has performed in twelve countries, sung in seven languages, and has appeared in such popular television shows asLaw and Order, One Life to Live, New AmsterdamNBC's NY-70, and FOX's Blue Blood (directed by Brett Ratner). Additionally, Edwina is a sought-after motivational speaker, and has presented well over a hundred motivational and artistic workshops around the country for aspiring artists, schools, ministries, and social service organizations through her organization Abundant Life Creative Services.  She is a contributing writer for WOW! Women of the Word Magazine, Child Advocate for global humanitarian organization World Vision, and an active member of the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Edwina Findley is a quickly rising star whose faith in God and commitment to excellence are blazing trails in both the entertainment industry and the inner-city community. Whether filming a movie or inspiring youth, Edwina wholeheartedly believes that with God, ALL things are possible, and she's excited to see what other opportunities He has in store!
