Roslyn Smith, Abundant Life Intern

While other 16-year-olds soon to be 17 are preparing for their driver’s licenses and proms, Roslyn Smith is busy taking the world by storm! Former president of her Senior Class, Member of the United Methodist Women at Asbury Church, and Key Administrative Intern for Abundant Life Creative Services, Roslyn is also serving her first term as secretary on the board of directors for 12 programs administered by Restoration and Community Development in Anne Arundel County, Maryland- the youngest person ever to serve on the board. Ms. Smith’s fierce passion for justice and youth advocacy has also earned her an internship with the Circuit Court of Annapolis under the Honorable Judge Ronald A. Silkworth, and membership with Amnesty International, as well as the Future Business Leaders of America. Her audacious career and education goals include earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Business, a Juris Doctorate in Law, and ultimately serving her country in the prestigious seat of Supreme Court Justice.

A hardworking and committed student, Roslyn attends Annapolis High School, where she is currently in the International Baccalaureate Program. When outside of the classroom, she loves playing softball, speech and debate, mock trial, mentoring, and the arts. A role model for many of her peers, Roslyn is also a member of Light of the World Family Ministries, where the passionate and kingdom building pastors are Rev. Frank & Sheryl Menendez, in Annapolis, MD where she is participates in the Youth Ministry, Chosen Generation. Roslyn’s favorite Scripture is “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2: 20(NKJV), and she is truly grateful for all the wonderful people and opportunities with which God has blessed her.
