Kelli Brown Daniels, Actress, HBO's The Wire

Kelli Brown Daniels appeared in three seasons of HBO’s The Wire as Omar's stick up girl “Kimmy”, and leads a multi-faceted life that includes acting, modeling, voice over production, and songwriting/singing.  In addition, she teaches college courses in early childhood education and runs her own natural hair care business featuring Sisterlocks (TM). Passionate about young people from an early age, Kelli recently served as the Educational Director of a pre-school in Queens, NY.

At the age of 12, Kelli began her professional acting career with a two year lead role on North Carolina local television station show WRAL TV-5 in a show entitled “Sparks”.  She went on to attend high school at NC School of the Arts, and receive a BFA in Acting/ Directing at NC A&T State University.  Kelli then received an MFA in Early Childhood Education/Special Education from Touro College in Manhattan. 

In addition to The Wire, Kelli made a guest appearance in the Dave Chappelle show as “Tyrita”, has been featured in “Time Warner Cable’’ and “Food Lion” commercials, and has modeled for companies such as “Wrangler Jeans” and “Belks”.  She is the proud mother to two beautiful boys, and wants to thank her loving husband for all his prayers and support. “ I give all praise and glory to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.  In Him I live and move, and have my being.”
